Traditionally, the RAW form which is cooked into a tea is considered to be the most powerful. However, many people find that they aren't able to make space for an extra cooking ritual in their lives, in which case custom prescriptions can be taken in GRANULE form, basically an instant tea added to hot water. Then there is the pre-formulated tea pill form, or PATENT, which is usually less specific, but generally the most convenient.
Your custom prescription will be filled with Green Tea Apothecary if Raw, Golden Cabinet Herbs if Granule, and at Wing Ming Herbs if Pills (though I may already have what you need on hand).
Taste:
Many herbal formulas have a strong taste. Many people find it pleasant or at least tolerable.
